Lyrics

You're the stars in the sky
You have heaven in your eyes
And only you're the reason why
Will you stay here by my side
One last kiss
One last time
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
All too soon
All too soon
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
With you I can survive
You make me feel alive
You're the sun and the rain
My pleasure and my pain
One last kiss
One last time
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
All too soon
All too soon
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
One last kiss
One last time
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
One last kiss
One last time
Tomorrow will come
One last kiss
One last time
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come
All too soon
All too soon
Tomorrow will come
Tomorrow will come

My Take

I'm going to get roasted for this review because it seems like this song is beloved by many Dave Gahan fans, but I think this song is just...okay. It's certainly not bad, and Dave's vocal performance on it really is top-notch as it always is. It sounds very catchy, modern, and dare I say it- mainstream. I could imagine it being in a commercial or movie. It's just that there isn't much to it, and the few lyrics there are almost border on trite, especially in the second verse (e.g., "you make me feel alive, you're the sun and the rain" plus the usual rhyming of "rain" with "pain" and all that). Like I said, it's not a bad song by any stretch; there's just nothing remarkable to say about it, and I truly think it belongs as a B-Side and nothing more. However...I will mention that Eric Lymon's Cinematic Mix really takes this song to a brand-new level and I like it a lot better. It is very cinematic, or as Dave loves to say, "filmic."

Music Video

There is no music video for this song. But I will include what I think is a superb video that incorporates the Cinematic Mix version.
